Nic McClanachan
Nic has been leading teams for over 20-years and can attest to the value that building a high performing and outcomes-focused team can bring to a business.
By day, Nic is the Founder & CEO of Human Experience, a business that came to life quite by accident in 2016. At the time Nic owned and operated Human Tribe, which is a company all about maximising the performance of its people and two clients asked Nic if she would consider doing some mystery shopping for them. It’s now fair to say that Nic has never looked back since!
By nights and weekends, Nic is a wife and Mum to three kids and a cat and you’ll often hear her describe her life as “crazy beautiful” but she wouldn’t have it any other way.
Prior to Human Experience and Human Tribe, Nic owned and operated three multi-award-winning Fernwood Women’s Health clubs in Sydney Australia, employing over 150 people at one time. Before going into business for herself, Nic worked in Human Resources and Learning and Development across the hospitality, retail, banking and television industries. She started her career as a teenager at McDonald’s and over the course of 6 years, worked her way up to Training Manager across three stores.
Nic has a masters degree in Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations and is an accredited practitioner in Genos Emotional Intelligence, Clifton’s Strengths Finder, Hogan Behavioural profiling, Patrick Lencioni’s Five Behaviours of a Cohesive Team program and MarketCulture’s Customer Centricity tool.
In amongst family and business, Nic believes in making a conscious decision to give back and doing some good in the world. In 2016, Nic and her wife Lisca partnered with the Hunger Project and to date they have raised and / or donated over $100,000 for a community in Malawi to reach self-reliance. In 2019, Nic raised nearly $10,000 for cancer research and prevention by running her first half marathon in Hawkes Bay, New Zealand and her first full marathon in New York with Can Too.
Nic has been leading teams for over 20-years and can attest to the value that building a high performing and outcomes-focused team can bring to a business. From leading a multi-award-winning Australian National Human Resources team at Stockland, to opening and running the most successful fitness centre in her franchise at the time, Nic knows how to get results.
Some of the brands that Nic has worked with include ING, Facebook, Lendlease, Business Chicks, Virgin Active and Harris Farm Markets.
